CARBON NEUTRAL

0% Carbon, 100% Entertainment, NFFTY 2010 is a carbon neutral film festival

WHAT DOES CARBON NEUTRAL MEAN?
When people fly or drive to NFFTY or we do anything that uses energy, it puts greenhouse gases in the form of carbon monoxide into the environment.
To address this, NFFTY starts by reducing our carbon emissions as much as possible. That includes using local FSC certified printers who use soy inks and post consumer waste paper, utilizing paper-less film submission, and continually thinking of and implementing ways to be more green during the planning and production of our festival.
Then, we buy carbon credits to offset what we can’t eliminate on our own. Carbon credits invest in carbon-reducing projects such as renewable energy, energy efficiency and reforestation projects.
