Two brothers take a once-in-a-lifetime road trip to transition into the next stages of their lives – but not in the way they’d originally planned.

The film was an official selection at NFFTY 2013 and screened as a part of the Friday Night Shorts program.

About the director:


Joel Ashton McCarthy is a 23-year-old filmmaker living in British Columbia, Canada who has varied and substantial experience working on documentaries, narrative film, corporate videos, and commercials. Joel has a bachelor’s degree in filmmaking from Capilano University and has been making films since he was 10 years old. His films have played in festivals all around the world. He has won numerous awards for his filmmaking—including a directing award from the New York City International Film Festival. He is currently finishing up his first feature length documentary – which he co-directed/produced/and DP’d- called Taking my Parents to Burning Man and has two major projects in development. One of them is shooting this spring called After Film School and the other is in need of funding called Let’s Toke About it.
