Kachho Gadulo is a story about the vibrant and diverse culture of India, as seen through a young child’s free and beautiful imagination. The story is inspired by the folk and tribal art of various parts of India like Chattisgarh, Kerala, Sikkim, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
The film was an official selection at NFFTY 2013 and won the Jury Award for Best Animation.
About the director:
Pranay Patwardhan is a 22 year old animation artist and illustrator from India. Born in Mumbai, he studied animation from the ‘Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics’, before graduating from D.S.K. Supinfocom in 2012. His work is deeply influenced by the culture and heritage of his hometown(Pune). He currently lives in Shenzhen, China, working at ‘Green Forest Animation.
