•    “Marea Alta”, directed by Carlos Parada was a crowd favorite at NFFTY 2009, bringing tears to most of the people who watched it. Fun facts: The beautiful musical score of the film was also composed by Carlo, his brother Diego was the film’s star, and the grandmother was his own grandmother.


•    The Filmmaker as Dealmaker panel included: John Maatta, COO of the CW Network; Peter Trinh, agent at ICM; Jesse Rosenblatt, entertainment lawyer; Lorin Brennan, entertainment layer; and Jeff Davidson, producer. Come to NFFTY 2010 to experience more fantastic panels like this one.

•    Meet the Director: Florencia Krochik
The 22 year-old director of "Without Papers", a documentary about two undocumented students living in America, won the first ever TakePart Film Award at NFFTY 2009. Her film will soon be available at http://www.takepart.com along with many other films from NFFTY

 

•    Meet the Director: Angad Singh
