Little Big Show #3 – Get to Know: Dum Dum Girls07/21/2012
Brash pop with killer harmonies, and a stripped down punk-rock sensibility that reminds me of the Ramones. This what came to my mind when I first heard the Dum Dum Girls. The band has worked with the same producers who recorded Blondie, and The Go-Gos – since their Sub-Pop released EP “End of Daze” the band has really been picking up steam and had great performances at CMJ and the Sasquatch music festival this year.
With many national tours under their belt, and the indie-credibility of a label like Sub Pop, the Dum Dum Girls will be headling Litlte Big Show #3 with lots of anticipation for a great rock show, followed by a national tour. Dum Dum Girls are surely a band to watch, and the opportunity to see them at Little Big Show #3 may be a rare one, because they are quickly rising in popularity and fandom.
