National Film Festival for Talented Youth | Seattle Youth Film Festival | Student Film Festival

SEATTLE, WA – The largest youth film festival in the world, NFFTY (National Film Festival for Talented Youth), is accepting entries for its next annual festival which takes place April 24 – 27, 2014 in Seattle, WA. Now in its eighth year, NFFTY is known for bringing together the world’s best young directors, future change makers and the next leaders of the entertainment industry for four days of films, networking events, panels and parties. The organization anticipates that over 1,000 young filmmakers from across the globe will enter their films into the festival and each with hopes of being selected to have their film screened and getting to participate in this prestigious festival.

Filmmakers who submit and get accepted to screen their work at NFFTY will become part of an elite group of alumni who can take part in numerous opportunities year round beyond the annual festival. With new distribution programs like “Best of NFFTY” partnerships with other prominent festivals, the audiences of these films are expanding beyond Seattle.

NFFTY is now no longer only a place to discover great entertainment, it is creating it too. With the launch of NFFTY Creative, the organization is producing original content for brand name clients and sponsors and in turn giving NFFTY alumni a chance to work on paid projects and make big connections. Any filmmaker selected for NFFTY 2014 will be eligible for consideration on these projects. “This is a great opportunity to continue to support and engage young filmmakers beyond the scope of the festival. We are all very excited about this new creative direction for NFFTY.” commented Stefanie Malone, NFFTY’s new Managing Director at the organization’s headquarters in Seattle.

NFFTY is accepting submissions for the 2014 film festival until January 31, 2014. Entries can be submitted online at For more updates and news on NFFTY 2014, go to or
