Chicken
I was fully absorbed within the first shot and was moved to tears at the end. The cinematography and sound design enhanced this already emotionally raw and vulnerable story. Exploring the intersectionalities of privileges and oppressions, this film shines light on how even the simplest relationships, like taking care of a chicken, can illustrate the deepest of complexities.

A Trip to The Moon
From daydreaming about spaceships and fairytales to wishing I could be a secret agent spy, I still chase childlike wonder and nostalgia to this day. A Trip to the Moon beautifully conveys that feeling of childlike innocence and the magic wonders of the mind, even as they clash with the world's harsh realities. I could not stop crying (in the best way possible).

Grief is Quiet
I usually can't handle films about dogs cause they make me violently sob, and this film did just that! Loss is such a difficult feeling to understand, let alone process. Grief is Quiet not only perfectly articulates the depths of loss and grief, but it illuminates the possibility of acceptance through a letter to a dog, Ginger.
