THe Talented Youth
The Talented Youth is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization that was founded in 2007 with the National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY) as its flagship program.
NFFTY has grown into the world’s largest film festival for emerging directors. Each year the festival showcases films by directors 24 and under.
NFFTY & The Talented Youth support young filmmakers by offering professional level workshops year-round. In addition NFFTY.org hosts filmmaker resources, tips, news and information.
Within NFFTY lies a creative production company, NFFTY Creative, that connects brands with emerging talent to produce original content.
The mission of The Talented Youth is the encouragement and acknowledgement of young artists working in the media arts – promoting their accomplishments through festivals and programs and celebrating the extraordinary talent that exists and the compelling stories they tell. We seek to address marked needs in education and networking for young artists, and to expand opportunities for promotion of their work to a larger audience.
The mission of NFFTY is to enable, nurture, promote and encourage the next generation of filmmakers to inspire, lead, and entertain the world with their stories.
The mission of NFFTY 365 is to provide year-round opportunities for the promotion of youth filmmaking and the education of young filmmakers.
The mission of Youth Filmmaking Excellence is to provide professional level training to young filmmakers in order to increase their artistic and technical filmmaking skills.
The mission of NFFTY Creative is to provide original content production, produced by our in-house creative leaders as well as past NFFTY Alumni filmmakers, for our sponsors.
