The River
The River

The River

This film brought me to tears. The narration was so unrelenting and fluid. The visuals were stunning. Every performance was so well workshopped. It really moves the Black Southern Gothic genre into gen z.

En Sus Manos

En Sus Manos

This film is an exploration of women and girls and their body of work in a developing landscape. Amazing story of 3 generations of female Afro-Cuban circus artists. There is such a full and lively soundscape.

Room

Room

Room is an immersive experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. Very impressive animation and emotional intelligence displayed by a 15-year-old tackling hard topics like anxiety and depression.

Paloma

Paloma

Paloma is very sharp in every way. The acting performance is so delicate with striking realism. I would call this a tough but necessary watch.

Cabbage

Cabbage

Absolutely amazing. This film just clicks all the buttons for me. It has great conflict, it's unassuming and beautifully shot. When you think it's you cookie-cutter film with religious dogma, it becomes a horror film that weaves allegory and romance so well.
