Cinematographer Claudia Raschke has served as Director of Photography on dozens of films, including Academy Award nominee, "RBG" (CNN) and Nat Geo's ACTIVATE series featuring Hugh Jackman, Common, Usher, Rachel Brosnahan, Darren Criss, Uzo Aduba and Becky G. Her work has been nominated for Academy Awards five times, won a Peabody, a DuPont, and a National Board of Review Award. Among her many notable award-winning films are: “Particle Fever” (Bond/Netflix), Oscar-nominated “God is the Bigger Elvis” (HBO), Peabody Award-winning “Black Magic” (ESPN), Oscar shortlisted “Mad Hot Ballroom” (Paramount), “The Freedom To Marry” (Argot Pictures), “Miss You Can Do It” (HBO), Oscar-nominated “My Architect” (add’l DP), Oscar-nominated “Small Wonder” (add’l DP), Oscar-nominated “Sister Rose’s Passion” (add’l DP), “Atomic Homefront” (HBO), and indie features like “Kiss Me Guido,” “The Last Good Time” and “Frame of Mind”. Three of her films, RBG," “Mad Hot Ballroom” and “My Architect” are among the highest earning docs of all time.

Presenter: Andrea Swift

A cinematic storyteller with over 20 years experience, Andrea Swift has written, directed, produced and consulted on independent films, and content for PBS, AMC, History Channel and Nat Geo's educational wing, among many others. She executive produced and directed the Emmy nominated PBS series, “In The Life.” Films include "The Killers" (Panorama Award at the Berlin International Film Festival, New Directors/New Films); "Company" (Best of Festival Selection at Raindance) and "Deafsmith, a nuclear folktale" (Silver Award at Chicago International Film Festival, special screening at United Nations Earth Summit). Swift currently focuses on story producing, writing and creative consulting on projects ranging from individual micro docs to features to emerging digital media companies.

Helping launch the next generation of cinematic storytellers as founding Chair of the Documentary Filmmaking Department at New York Film Academy, Swift has also taught filmmaking workshops for The Fulbright organization, Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Whitney.
